Where is Bangladesh? What kind of people live there? Does it really exist on the map? I was trying to find answers to all these questions when I bought my flight tickets from Rome to Dhaka, the capital of Bangladesh. I felt so ashamed of myself because I couldn’t answer any of it. You may know there is a place with this name, but you have no idea what to expect. For me, it was the first Muslim country I was travelling in. Even though my time here was short, I was blessed to meet Soniya, Rokib and their beautiful and smart little daughter, Lira. Words cannot describe the happiness I feel every time I look back at the time spent at their place in Dhaka. I was no longer a guest, but close to a distant relative!
